Tour Program
DAY 01: ISTANBUL AIRPORT – BOLOGNA – FLORENCE
Meeting and check-in at 05:00 with our esteemed guests at the THY international flights F counter (counters 1-27) by entering through Gate 3 of Istanbul Airport. Departure to Bologna at 08:00 with Turkish Airlines flight TK1321. Arrival in Bologna at 09:40 local time. We will proceed to Florence with our waiting vehicle.
During our city tour in Florence, which is rich in historical buildings, artistic works, and cultural atmosphere, we will see the Arno River that divides the city, the Ponte Vecchio with its goldsmith shops dating back to the 14th century, the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral in Duomo Square, the Gothic Bell Tower, the Baptistery and the East Gate known as the Gates of Paradise, Santa Croce Church where notable figures like Michelangelo, Machiavelli, and Galileo are buried, the Uffizi Gallery, Signoria Square, the Fountain of Neptune, and the historic courtyard resembling an open-air museum.
At the end of the tour, we will head to our hotel in Tuscany.
DAY 02: PISA – SAN GIMIGNANO – SIENA
After breakfast, we will begin our full-day tour at the time specified by our guide.
Our first stop is Pisa. Upon arrival in the city, we will see the Baptistery, the Cathedral, and the world-famous Leaning Tower of Pisa located in the Square of Miracles, set on lush green grass. Those interested can climb the 56-meter-high tower to enjoy the view.
Next, we move on to San Gimignano. In this UNESCO World Heritage listed "City of Beautiful Towers," we will take a walking tour to see important structures like Porta San Giovanni, Piazza della Cisterna, the Cathedral Square (Piazza del Duomo), Palazzo del Popolo, and the Palazzo del Podestà.
After San Gimignano, we proceed to Siena. Known for its earth-toned labyrinthine streets and enchanting atmosphere, we will see Piazza del Campo where the Palio races are held, the Gaia Fountain, the Torre del Mangia, and the Duomo Cathedral, famous for its black and white marbles.
After the tour, we will return to our hotel.
DAY 03: MONTEPULCIANO – MONTALCINO
After breakfast, we will start our full-day tour.
Our first destination is Montepulciano. Founded by the Etruscans in 308 B.C., this city is famous for its wines. The main street is 1.5 km long, stretching from Porta al Prato to Piazza Grande. We will see Palazzo Comunale, the Santa Maria Cathedral, and the historic city walls. Then we will have a wine tasting at Cantina de Ricci, one of the oldest wine cellars in the world, located beneath the Ricci Palace.
After the tour, we will move on to the town of Montalcino, famous for its Brunello wines. After a visit to the historic castle and city center, we will return to our hotel.
DAY 04: BOLOGNA – ISTANBUL
After breakfast, we will complete our hotel check-out processes and move to Bologna at the time specified by our guide. After approximately 2 hours of travel, we will begin our city tour upon arrival.
In historical Bologna, dating back to the 6th century B.C., we will see Maggiore Square, Palazzo di Accursio, Palazzo Podestà, Basilica di San Petronio, Garisenda and Asinelli Towers among other sights.
After the tour, we will transfer to the airport. After ticket and baggage procedures, we will depart for Istanbul at 19:00 with Turkish Airlines flight TK1326. Arrival in Istanbul at 22:45 and the end of our tour.
