DAY 1: MARMARIS – RHODES
Rhodes City Tour
Departure from Marmaris Port at 09:15.
Please check in at the ferry office located at Marmaris Cruise Port at least 1 hour before departure. Then, we will set sail to Rhodes by fast catamaran. After approximately 1 hour of sea travel, we will be welcomed by our guide at Rhodes Port and depart for the City Tour. During the panoramic City Tour, we will see the main port of Rhodes, Mandraki Port, where the famous Colossus of Rhodes once stood, Murat Reis Mosque, and pass by the clean beach known as Elli Beach close to the city center, moving on to the Aquarium Area. We will also visit the Kritika neighborhood, where Turks exiled from Crete once lived together. After a photo break with the stunning view of both the New City and the Old Town from Monte Smith Hill, we will visit the ancient Rhodes Acropolis, founded in the 3rd century BC, where archaeological artifacts are located. Following the visit to the Apollo Statue and the Ancient Stadium, we will depart by bus to explore the Old Town area. The Old Town walking tour will continue through narrow streets surrounded by historic walls, visiting places like the Street of the Knights, Ahmet Ağa Library, Ottoman Medrese and Baths, the Grand Master’s Palace famous for its sculptures and mosaics, the Archaeological Museum, Mustafa Pasha Mosque, the Clock Tower, the Turkish School, Cem Sultan House, and Ibrahim Pasha Mosque, all accompanied by our guide. After completing the City Tour at Şadırvan Square, also known as Hippocrates Square, we will transfer to the hotel for accommodation.
DAY 2: RHODES
Free Day
After breakfast at the hotel, you may choose to cool off and sunbathe in Rhodes' magnificent sea, or you can rent a car to embark on a journey back in time in Rhodes, known as the richest island in terms of history and culture in the Aegean. The narrow streets of the old town are ideal for getting lost and taking photos in the late afternoon. You can see architectural works from various civilizations that have inhabited the island with its rich history. For your dinner, we recommend making a reservation in advance at seafood restaurants or tavernas featuring Greek music. Overnight at your hotel.
DAY 3: RHODES – MARMARIS
Free Day
Departure from Rhodes Port at 16:00.
After breakfast at the hotel, you may choose to rent a car to journey through the culturally rich and historic island of Rhodes. Alternatively, you can join the optional Lindos Tour organized by our guide. (Lindos Tour – Extra: 50 Euro) You can see the places where several scenes of the film Zorba were shot in the Kallithea region on your route and visit the Tsampika Monastery, where those without children in Greece go to ask for children. In Lindos, you will stroll through white houses, narrow streets, and poetically adorned alleys with white paving stones, and enjoy its unique sea. The Lindos Tour concludes at the port used for return.
Guests not joining the Lindos Tour should be at the port for passport control 1 hour before the ferry departure time. After approximately 1 hour of sea travel, we will arrive at Marmaris Port at 18:00. (Due to time difference, arrival time in Marmaris is 18:00)
