DAY 1: DEPARTURE FROM KUŞADASı – DISCOVERY OF VATHY

We meet at Kuşadası Port (Scala Nuova) at 07:30 in the morning. After completing our passport processes, we depart at 08:30 by fast ferry and, after a pleasant 45-minute sea journey, we arrive at Vathy Port, the center of Samos Island. On certain dates, our guide may meet you at Samos Port to join the tour from there.

(Our passengers departing from Seferihisar will be greeted by our guide at Samos port.)

We recommend that guests who will obtain a door visa sit near the door on the ferry to expedite their processes.

Our check-in time at the hotels is 15:00, but if available, earlier entry into our rooms may be possible.

In the afternoon, we meet at the designated point by our guide at 16:00, and we begin to get to know Vathy with our guide. During our enjoyable walking tour lasting about an hour and a half, we start discovering Vathy. Throughout this enjoyable walking tour, we gather information from our guide about the rich history of the island, the culture of daily life, the lifestyle of the local people, charming cafes, delicious restaurants, and entertainment spots. As we walk through narrow streets, we closely witness both the past and the present spirit of Samos.

During our walk, we see the only Catholic Church on the island, which is currently abandoned. With its silence and mystical atmosphere, this structure becomes one of our special stops that shed light on the multicultural history of the island.

Then, we reach the heart of the city, Aslanlı Square, which is the oldest and still actively used square of Samos. Here, we see the lion statue, which is the symbol of the square, and explore the surrounding historical texture. The Town Hall and Archaeological Museum located around the square are important structures carrying significant traces of the island's history during our visit.

In the final part of our tour, we complete our tour at the monument of Themistocles Sofoulis, who is considered one of the important figures in modern Greek history and the first President of Samos. At this meaningful spot, we take souvenir photos and etch the culture and history of Vathy into our memories.

In your remaining free time, you can sit in cafes with views of Vathy, take a walk along the shore, or enjoy the sea.

In the evening, you will experience one of the best reflections of the island's spirit. In our extra-organized Tavern Night program, we enjoy a lively atmosphere with live Greek music. The menu offered during the evening includes unlimited ouzo and wine. Guests wishing to continue their night entertainment in different venues can get suggestions from our guide.

DAY 2: GRAND ISLAND TOUR

Following breakfast at our hotel, we gather at the port at 09:30 and set off to explore the island. During our tour, we first view the Vathy region panoramically, acquiring general information about the island's settlement.

Next, we turn our route to Kokari, one of the most photogenic spots on the island. After our guide provides a panoramic tour of the area, there is free time offered here. Guests can enjoy the turquoise sea, take a walk along the beach, or capture wonderful photos of postcard-worthy views.

Our next stop is Pythagorion, known as the birthplace of the famous mathematician Pythagoras. In this enchanting area, characterized by its historical texture and beach atmosphere, we make our visit with our guide, learning about Samos Castle, the Church of the Transfiguration, and the famous Blue Street. After a short walk in the port area, we take a photo break in front of the Pythagoras Monument.

After that, we have free time for a pleasant lunch at one of the popular seaside restaurants in the area. You will have the opportunity to taste fresh seafood and the delights of Greek cuisine.

On our return, we take a short shopping break at Lidl, one of Europe's largest chain markets. Here, you can find both affordable products and local flavors.
